Need help repairing a leaky mag

Right, One of my mags has started leaking from the filling valve at the bottom of the mag, and i was going to get it replaced instead, but the shop that goes to southampton is supposedly not attending anymore which is annoying, so i'm going to try and fix it myself.
problem is i'm not sure how to go around it, so any advice would be most helpful.

(The mag type is for the WE MEU)

PDI 6.01 Precision pistol barrel for TM m1911a1

Right, i want to fit a precision barrel on my WE MEU, and i was dossing around Ehobbyasia and stumbled on this -> http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/upgrade-part/pa...ui-m1911a1.html
Now i know it's for the TM M1911A1, but basiclly both guns are of similar/indentical design, so would it fit in my pistol.
If so, with or without modification?

Hop up problems

My hop up doesn't seem to be working correctly, because my bb's seem to be falling short, and i keep getting outranged by other players.
I had a look around, and redwolf suggests spraying some silacone oil down into the hop unit to soften the rubber hop sleeve, but i ain't so sure, so i'd rather ask experienced airsofters.
Help on this issue would be great.
